While carefully looking over the cars at ToranaFest I spotted this little welded gusset on certain models. Can anyone tell me what models they are on and what purpose it might serve.
I'm talking about the little weld where the top of the guard meets the plynum chamber.

72-73 thing TMK.
My LJ has one, my LC doesnt.
Like many other little runnign mods they did.
Happy to be corrected so my brayne learns stuff though.

Thanks Bomber, I'm thinking it goes with the guard cut-outs and reinforced stone tray. It could be a Brisbane thing or Adelaide too?

as dj said its a 73 thing,,, if you look at the 73 guards they have a little lug that comes of there and welds to the front of the scuttle just like in the pic you have.... you will need to add them to your 72 if your mocking up a 73 tangarine car mate.

That's because that fender has been removed and refitted or replaced.

Richo is on the money Jim, I recon the odds are 25-1 in his favor of winning....He's that smart....He wouldnt bet against somehting that wasnt true.
Use your money as you save fit, but i think i should up my bet to $100,000 haha.
