You have to admit though, its highly dependant.

If you only want to make around the 400 mark i honestly think a holden six would be cheaper once its all in done signed off and regod. .

as with all conversions you can make them as cheap or expensive as you like but you have to remember for any engine
combo HP = $$$$$ the more you want the more it costs

I agree with all of Bombers points......Theres a few fella's about by the names of Nathan Cardenanza and Scott Elvidge that both run pretty fast times with their turbo Holden 6's...Nathans being a 186 and Scotts a 202......both run very basic engine combo's that look like nothing special on paper..........and here's the best part.........both of these guys drive their Torana's to the track, race them all day (Nathan's best time to date is a flat 11 second 1/4 mile, and Scott's an 11.50- not yet dyno'd,and with about 8 passes under its belt only to date)..................and then drive them home stopping through the local Hungry Jacks for a feed before getting home.................Pro's and Con's??...........Theres only pro's in this situation from my view!....Do it, you'll love it!

I find it interesting that the 202 is the slower of the two?

So... Getting back to the first post, you're looking at buying a turbo 202??
How much do you want to spend, do you have one lined up, is it any good??
Have someone here in adelaide who has just pulled out a haltech injected turbo 173 from his lj which made roughly 200rwkw through a powerglide. He's going for two extra cylinders...
Also have photos if you're keen

Thread stolen...

Yeah mate as mentioned its a turbo 173 red 6, comes complete as removed from lj with haltech injection/computer/wiring, intercooler, piping, powerglide trans, crossmember, exhaust system, basically as it was running.

Im a little sketchy on full details but roller rockers, elec dizzy & crane ignition are there, it made 211kw at the wheels.

The asking price is 5k.

Just having some dramas getting the photos up at the mo.

If that was closer I'd be making a couple of phone calls. Second call would be a lawyer when the mrs leaves me for buying more car stuff lol
