I've sandblasted my master cylinder and want to paint it black, will 2 Pac peel/react to brakefluid.

Also can something be applied to inside where the fluid lives to protect from rust?

Cheers

Marty

Again calliper paint is brake fluid resistant to a point so should last longer than most paints, Good idea to etch prime also and be careful when bleeding brakes etc. by placing clean rag over & around master, or better still get one of those 1 man brake bleeder tools......

I 2pac'd mine. Yes brake fluid will still hurt it but if it's wiped off with water ASAP then you should be fine.

Wouldnt put anything on the inside.

If it comes off could lead to catastrophic events.

Just clean it up.

If properly looked after further rust shouldnt be a problem.

Back in the day I painted mine with fire engine red VHT from a spray can, possibly the flame resistant stuff that I had left over after painting the M21, came up a treat with the chrome lid.  Was years before it started to peel and only on the large bolt on the end there.

The Brake Fluid will stop it from Rusting Marty. Dave I

p.s. as long as you throw the Torana around, so the fluid is always washing

If you blow a 2k epoxy primer over it then a polyurethane top coat you could soak it in brake fluid and it will give no frOcks.
