This is a great little task for this week-end. Only for the guys who have the harness out of car or hanging down.
Thanks
Marty

Thanks Aleks, not what I was expecting.
Do you have a boot light? Trying to see how that joins in at that point.

Marty, the boot light plugs into the tail light wiring harness tucked up inside the right hand rear qtr panel.

Sorry Marty.
When the boot lamp is fitted as an accessory it is connected into the rear park lamp circuit. When factory fitted it connects to the interior light and brake light power circuit.
Just thought in your application connection into the park lamp circuit, as in an accessory installation, would be easier.
Cheers
Dave.

Marty, how correct do you want to be with the harness? Your harness is circa 72 which appear different to that of a 73 Torana S.
Here is a photo of a late 73 S harness. Note the orange wire(s) are present in the "J" terminal of the main body harness connector. All you would need to do in this case is run a orange wire from the "J" terminal of the rear body harness connector (currently missing) back to a boot light, etc
Possibly two, maybe three options here....................................
Option A - Acquire a 73 GTR harness
Option B - Marty's Repo - Someone may have unraveled all the the wiring in the main harness and can advise on how/ where the orange wire(s) are connected i.e intent of original topic.
Option C - Simple Fix - it is possible to "adjust" the wiring so that it looks correct from the outside and has all the functionality of a GTR. Downside is you may not be able to live with the thought that it's a work-around. LOL

Great pics Alecs, I think option B. I've got more research to do before this happens.
Thanks

That diagram is not correct for a 73 car, particularly how the orange wire enters/ exits the Body Wiring Harness Connector. I know your diagram comes up in this forum but what is the source and what model is it for i.e LC?.
The 73's are more like a LH (diagram below). You only need wire into the "J" terminal of the connector i.e. 2 x orange "in" to a common spade (you can see this in photo above) and 1 x orange "out" and run back to boot light.
And goes without saying you don't need to wire in the "accessory" option.
