Nearly there, A few questions for the knowledge hub though. I thought I'd just put this all in one thread, apologies in advance.

Just wondering how and where do I plump in the positive vacuum advance to 3 webers.

Also with the webers the best way to hook up the accelerator to the throttle linkages (which I have), but how do I attach them to the factory lever that comes through the firewall.

Lastly, some info on oil pressure sensor installation, as I got some GTR gauges but don't know how to wire up.

Thanks to everybody who has helped over this build. Photos to follow as build progresses.

Thanks

Yep no vacuum advance fitting on dcoe's.

You're probably best off fitting a early model commodore accelerator pedal and using a cable set up for the accelerator linkage.

not sure about the linkage you refer to Glenn, but here is the cable setup on my LJ, seems to work fine.

Vacuum advance isn't essential but it's a really good thing to have on a street car. You probably won't have a ported vacuum source on the Webers so you have two choices - connect to manifold vacuum (not ideal but better than nothing) or drill and tap your own.

If you go for mani vacuum connect it to the 3&4 runner. But ideally though you'd drill a small (say 1mm) hole so it breaks out just behind the butterfly, so that there is no signal at idle but signal as soon as the throttle is cracked open. Open up the outer portion of the hole so you can either tap it for a fitting or tap in a short piece of steel tube for the hose to slip over. Again, do it on 3 or 4 so you get an even signal.

As I said you can live without it, but it's all the little things like this that make a car pleasant to live with day-to-day.

Middle length of inlet manifold that runs to cylinders 3 and 4.

Cool, I got an accelerator pedal and cable out of a poor old VB commodore. Should work sweet. So thanks.

How do I wire up this delco dissy, theres two wires that come from the original wiring loom you can just see them in my photo. Is one for the oil pressure sender and one for the dissy?
