Funny, the Torana in the pic that Anthony posted looks yellow to me, not green.

Knowing where the LJ battery normally sits, it's possible in such an accident it shorted??

Good on the firerys they have saved it. I wonder if he had a fire extinguisher, i certainly do. Expensive for the insurance co if the other driver is at fault

I know the owner of this car,it is a real one, he belongs to the GTR & XU-1 club QLD which I am a member also, it is insured and is going to be rebuilt over the next 12 months.
According to all reports he was taking in for a spin to charge the battery,at the lights at Moggill road the 2 cars collided, the battery was squashed and the air bag in the other car deployed and hence the fire.He is OK but understandably upset.
Don't know who was at fault at this stage and the colour is Yellow Dolly.
Cheers, John

Good luck and best wishes on the rebuild, can't imagen the frustration that guy must be going through.

It would depend on how it is insured and then it could end up a ride-off.

or they might even write it off lol
(doubt it though as it would be worth a fair bit and would have to be pretty badly damaged for cost to outweigh value)
