Hey guys, could someone please shed some light on the info i have on this car.

Apparently a 253 SLR.

Model: LH8VD69

Body: 439366M

Trim: 1878-66V

Paint: 568-15893

Tag states L32 (253), M40 & GU7

I havn't confirmed if the chassis number matches the plate yet, but just wanted to check that these tags belong to an L32 SLR

Thanks in advance guys

Tags could be off anything if the chassis no. doesn't match, first thing I'd check...

Chassis number will only match the ADR plate.

True.

From the body number you may be able to get a range of chassis numbers or dates where it should fall within; others here with LH's may be able to help.

Would Holden would have records if you gave them the VIN?

No. All they'll tell you is that the car was what is on the VIN plate by the PSN and anyone here could tell you that. They may be able to confirm an original engine number but it is only a 4.2L so that isn't as important as the ADR tag matching the chassis number and it being correct for the other tags. Being an auto at that stage I think it should still have ADR9 on the ADR plate so that will help heaps plus it should be 7/74 compliance.

Hey guys. Were having a little trouble reading the chassis number from the body & the adr tag but they both look like:

BLH 051336M

And looks like 09/74' date on adr tag

Does this appear to match up with the above details??

Some pics would be good; we can check the font to see if either were restamped.

I will get pics soon. Just hard to read chassis number because of the paint covering it. Adr tag is slightly hard to read as it hasn't been cleaned up

VIN: 8D69RD J439366H

Body: 439366M

Chassis: BLH051336M (09/74 date on adr tag)

Something very wrong there, that VIN & body number should belong to roughly a July '74 built LH SLR4200 with a chassis number around ALH013xxxM

BLH051336M should belong to a Sept '75 car

The chassis and body numbers are over a year apart!

Are you sure the compliance plate says 1974? BLH chassis numbers didn't start till 1st January 1975

As Heath said above, we really need (clear) pictures.

Im still waiting on better pics of adr tag & chassis number, but chassis is hard to read due to layers of paint as most of you guys would know about.

I might be wrong, its probably 09/75' on the adr tag.

Will get owner to check his rego papers as well

Agree with the above. Although Dandenong did get predictive sometimes on the 8-9th month changeover, being a D in the VIN 99.9% of the time will be pre 9/74.
