spotwelder or just a dent puller.bit uncertain
which one to get whether it would b a waste of
money getting a combo or not..only have 3
dents to get out with one bit stronger in
the area than others.ive been looking at
Melomotive puller that uses pins and can use
my lincoln welder which is 188 bucks but
bit uncertain if i will pull pins off the
panel making holes other dents i reckon it
will work ok..what do you guys reccommend.
A combo that uses stars washes?? Pics of
dents and melomotive dent puller

above..I had to first checkout the tweco
nozzles were the same as the lincoln style
magnum torches,as the nozzle designed in
this kit was to work with tweco torch.and
apparently they do as have same m10 thread..

New tech?
Been around for 30 years or more.
The ones I have played with are a seperate unit.
About half the size of an inverter welder.
My mate used them to do spot welding too but unsure of how well that went.

I'd love something that works of my Mig or Arc. I've seen the pin system used on my 4WD and thought it awesome.
If you get this sorted Maz put up some pics and your thoughts on the tool.
Cheers
Marty

Used easy out for years myself, I just confirming if you guys are talking about a system that adapts a mig welder>
I myself have been mig spotting washers on panels.

I gather i could make or buy a hook fitting
for washers.wouldnt mind a couple hooks
spreading the load actually bringing the panel out more evenly..
Hi Marty ..yeah ill throw some up and see how
i go...should b fun.
Gone where no maz has gone before 😂.

Used many dent puller systems over the last 25years, including easy out, which I love, this system directly spot welds a washer on with no need for a welder of any kind.
Sorry, Im still a bit confused just to clarify, does the system discussed in this topic need a welder to spot weld pins on or does it adapt the mig welder to directly spot the pins on with no need for wire feed to form the welding process?

Its just a nozzle really that can b adapted
onto the mig torch that uses an M10 thread.

Yeah you need a welder Terra as in pic above.
Its just a nozzle really that can b adapted
onto the mig torch that uses an M10 thread.
So do you still feed wire or does it basically weld itself on?
Im really interested as I have a motor bike tank that I need to get a nice dent out of.
Where are they available? evilbay?

I just put this on earlier.it has 3 grub
screws .1 for pin holder branch, the other 2
tp secure the stud welding nozzle to gun
nozzle.i did think before i purchased that
you take the gun nozzle off then screw this
one on hence me saying about it suits mig
nozzle with m10 thread.....anyway.you put
nozzle on and set to required depth then
fasten it.you then insert a pin then rest
nozzle on panel at 45 deg angle.wind the grub
screw in till the pin touches panel ,then its
set to go. You could just make the nozzle
rockoz if you have the slide hammer..
Melomotive has them .it comes as a package
under mig stud welding kit .

these on gaybay from 260 up to 700 odd .
Was looking at the vevor 3500 230v for 520
bills but only have 3 4 dents to do.if i
wasnt on a budget id get this one only thing
was it doesnt have correct socket plug to
suit our power points.i asked a fella on one
and thats what he said.also mentioned its as
good as the 1500 one he has in workshop.other than that looks the goods..

We used to use an easy beat. Simply disconnect the battery, clamp on the earth, stick a pull ring in the hand piece and as soon as you touched the pull ring, in the hand piece, it welded it on the panel, slide hammer, when finished simply snap off the pull ring and file. A long time ago now. Have a look on you tube 'how to fix a dent in a motorcycle fuel tank'. especially the bloke who wires up the good old 240 volts to weld coat hangers bits for a slide hammer.

Might have to look that up.
As an electrician I could call it research. lol.
Have seen some crazy stuff that people have set up to overcome lack of proper equipment.

panel and they def not going to pull pin out
It doesnt weld in centre though.weld is 3/4 in front of pin.pin slide hammers arnt all that crash.they eventually slip off and dent in
panel hardly flinched.these old car panels are pretty strong not like modern panels..need to grind slots on ea side of shaft so i can put small shifter on there and then use slide
hammer weight on bottom part that holds pin
to tighten better..
Might try on the 4dr tomorrow and see how i
go.

out of sill ok .it worked but very frustrating
when all pins broke within 10 pulls of slide hammer.and i wasnt reefing on it hard. put
same amount back on and all broke again .3
lots lol..those pins are weak as piss..
Def washers would work waaay better,at
least they wont break.i think i should of
bought the vevor 3500 for 520 that takes star
washers.theres no way the pins will pull out
that dent in my bumper area
