The guys use them everyday in the Sheet Metal W/shop. No idea where they are buying them from. Prob expensive as Aviation grade.

1/8" 20 pack and pliers $40 on Bullant Performance website. Trouble is no stock atm.
Extra 40 Pack is $48
So not too expensive for what they are imo.

Bullant just got back to me; they will have stock next week. Good response time and prices as good as any i have found on ebay etc. Aussie company too.

What do they do that a bolt and nut can't? I've never seen one in the flesh so I really don't know. Are they reusable?

They are like a temporary rivet.
Totally re usable.
You pick the size hole you want. use the appropriate cleco.
It holds the 2 panels together with good force.
You use special pliers to insert and remove.
Lots quicker than using screws and nuts to hold things together.
They are a brilliant idea.

Reusable, allow access or fastening from only one side meaning you don't need assess to the back of the panel, say something like a cavity, or somewhere you can't reach out far enough to hold a nut, only a second to fit, smaller hole than the bolt method, smaller hole than most typical self drilling screws.

I have been watching a lot of car resto shows on Foxtel and they all use em; took me awhile to find out what they were. Getting some for sure.

I see that Glen has been using them in his LX GTR Hatch thread. Would half a dozen of the 1/8 ones hold something like a quarter panel or is it worth while getting bigger ones like 1/4?
Posted 26 November 2018 - 05:59 AM
1/8 will be fine for holding the quarter panel.
They hold on very strongly.
It is a powerful spring that is in the things.
Buy at least 10.
Once you use them you will wonder how you ever did without them.

Ordered at 10.00am; in the post by 1pm same day. Big thumbs up.

I've used Clecos for about 25 years now.
Wouldn't be without them.
Make sure you order the special pliers for them or you'll be screwed.

You'll probably end up like most of us, with multiples of a few different sizes, for different size rivets.
