g'day all i know it's here someware but i can't find it 

i am looking for the colour of the engine bay and suspensionon a 6/71 lc gtr 

i have read here somewere that is gmh gloss black with a flatening agent 

what percentage  i am after a close match

Different paints brands, require different amounts of flattening base, so chose a good "quality" brand of paint to use, get some mixed at your paint shop, 100 ml or so, with the different amounts of flattening base added, spray out & decide.

but i am not a painter and know nothing about it 

just trying to find the mixture for my painter 

who is 120k's away , i will check on the brand of paint he usesand post

Bat I am an amateur compared to most blokes on this forum, however I believe my engine bay is original factory and its a shitty gloss black (cause its old). If I was to paint my engine bay now (which I never will) I would definitely use Acrylic Lacquer gloss and leave it as it comes off the gun. From what I have learned its not satin and its nor GMH flat black. Hope this makes sense.
