Good morning gentlemen. I was just wondering which brake pads everyone recommends for a daily driver (mazda 6). I used to only use bendix when i was a mechanic 10 yrs ago and i never had a comeback. But my mate who is still a mechanic reckons they are made somewhere different now and their quality has gone way down and he gets comeback from noisy brakes. He wont use them anymore. I was thinking of trying out RDA pads as i am going to try out their rotors. Thanks
Which brake pads for daily?

Their entry level premium compound is excellent from general street driving. Good initial stopping grip and very good wear characteristics.
Have used them in many of the cars.

I used a set of RDA pads in a Falcon AU that I had......................................... threw them in the bin same day. TRW make some good pads these days and well priced.

I stock & sell the Hi-Q brand pad. These are a Korean made ceramic pad, with excellent pedal feel, noise, dust characteristics, performance etc. They are the OEM pad for Hyundai/Kia & GM Korea.
I've sold over 2000 sets of these in the last few years & have not had one single complaint or comeback. I sell mainly to the trade & some of these guys are fairly fussy.
I do know that they work well on my own fleet of (predominately) Commodores. I used to be a Bendix man but I've had several dramas with them over the last few years & now they have priced themselves out of the market.

Lucas pads are very Euro... and can be dusty. They do some shapes with DT at the end of the part #
These are much lower dusting
I've had issues with the QFM with varying batches... some are excellent some are rubbish
RDA/EBC pads are ok in many applications... but not all
Hi-Q have approached me a few times... but I've never used them... good to hear your feedback Terry.

I don't think that you'll be fitting QFM much longer
