Anyone got a picture of Orange Ade? Gerry? A panel beater mate of mine has an SL/R 5000 in primer that needs to be painted that colour.

It's called Readymix Orange, also Ready Mixed Orange. Used by Readymix concrete in SA, Ready Mixed Concrete and Clifton Brick Co in Victoria.
I have the formula for you if you want it, only 3 x tinters but it was 30% lead so will be hard to match today.

The Camaro? It was a US built car, Hugger Orange was the orange for 1969:

The HQ, LJ, EH, and the 4 L34's he had were all painted Sebring so I just assumed the Camaro was the same.

He ordered them in Sebring though. Same as the HQ V8 Premier wagon he ordered with L30 M41 eng/trans. He didn't order the ZL1. Fred Gibb ordered the first 50 under the COPO system in 1968. All in only 5 colours: Cortez Silver, Fathom Green, Dusk Blue, LeMans Blue and Hugger Orange. Ten cars were built in each color and those ten were split between four equipped with M40 (TH400) and six with M21 (Muncie) transmissions except for one with M22 (car #3, it was also a different colour to the other 49). By a twist of fate, his order became the first one with a Corporate edict that all Engineering costs associated with the COPO order had to be absorbed into the order. It added over $4000 to each of the 50 cars, and thus they couldn't sell them and had to give a lot back (37 of them). Other dealers ordered another 19 in total for 69 cars only. Bob bought two of these cars, they are numbered as #33 and #52. He bought both through Jim Rathman Chevrolet in Florida (that is who is credited with selling them anyway). The Hugger Orange car is #33 so I presume it was one of the original 50 that Fred Gibb ordered, and the #52 car one of the other 19.

The SL/R 5000 he was toying with before the L34 came along looks like it was Glacier White or Chrome Yellow. Maybe it was just one from the car yard and he was trying out the Sprintmasters and slicks to see if they fit ok.

Despite its bizarre name the VF colour is very nice and very dynamic as the light changes.

It is interesting seeing them together. I always thought they were the same colour with a bit more metallic in the case of the VF, but it is definitely darker than the Tiga Mica, which was the colour of my first new car.
