253 v8 alternator probs

hey all just been fiddling with the lh again and been talking to some mates, reckon i need a torana alternator bracket
i have a hq one i think can i bolt this up the top like normal or whats the go

also if anyone has pics of theres show me please

i think the hq type requires the alt to be run up high, above the motor in LH/LX.

just wondering could somebody please take some photos of the brackets what they look like and where the alternators are located in the lh lxs where do the sit up high or down low

all photos info would be greatly apreciated!!

there are lots of pics posted in other threads, but basically the torana one sits on the O/S down low near the fuel pump like a commy one and HQ site on the N/S and further out near the oil pump hence needing the alt to be turned up when fitted to a torry.
just buy a torry one to save yourself the trouble.

Not sure if these are good enough for the detail you require chevy but here are 2 shots from the front and the rear of the bracket I have which I believe is not standard but I have no idea what its from.

yeah you will need to get a torana one. The Hq ones might work but u need to worry about a few more things... Plus the torana ones look so much better all tucked away...

the last pic looks like a modded HQ to get it to sit lower.

EDIT; no hold on your right, its just dodgy.

my 253s fuel line runs up the front of the head where the alternator brackets are

would this foul with the bracket and will i have to get a new different styled one??
