You say the door frame is curved? Is it suppossed to be curved? Is the gap between the door frame and the glass equal all the way along? Is the glass curved is what I'm getting at. If so, so should the door belt be curved.

I just measured mine and the rears are about 5mm longer. Compare them and make sure they haven't given you two sets of fronts. I can see the bend you are refering to but can't check the shape of the belt fitting without removing it.

I have just checked our records we sold our first ones of these on 11/08/90 and never had this problem brought up before, I do concede that they should have a slight bend in them, but unfortunately we are not in a position to make them this way and keep them economical. The only alternative would be to take them off the market and if we had enough complaints we would. I would be interested to know what other people think or how they have fitted theirs and if they are happy. As people here are aware if we have a problem with a products quality or fitment we try to fix it unfortunately in this case we cannot.please help me on this thread

ta for that info Les. At least now i know they will need to modified to fit properly and its not just my bad luck of the draw.
