ive been wondering about this one for a while now
when im out of school and bringing in the moola i am thinking of getting a vl with one of those rb30s for the lj and give it a bit of a freshen up and turbocharge it
whats needed for the turbo conversions
whats needed for the conversion into the lj 2 door
and most important what sort of cash we looking at here?

Conversion will prob set you back approx $6500 not inc motor, inc brake upgrade HQ front brakes, BW diff, Nissan GB, engine mounts, sump, fuel pump, engine computer.
Maybe cost more?? this price is if you do the work your self.

im more inline thinking of getting a vl commodore thats reasonable engine and transfer it over into the lj (computer and the lot there really)
im geussing the stuff which i would need prices on really is the
sump
engine mounts
and little conversion techniques
but most importantly around how much to get these engineered in vic which scares me
can you turbo a n/a rb30?
jap xu1 mate that looks absoulutely awsome
have you got any photos of your car as ive heard from some people that its gonna be bloody awsome (im geussing WIP ?)
hq front brakes are they required for the engineers? if so i can do that conversion easily myself
i know for a fact about 10 years ago though these engines were mongreuls as they couldnt be reconditioned i have heard rumor that nowadays they can, but i would want to know for sure before i go doing anything
does the vic engineers certs require a hatfields chassis strengthening kit or can i make up my own???
at the moment i wont be able to do this conversion until im out of school (end of next year) and have a bit of cash but i am wanting to see how its done and if i can do it under a low budget if so then il be extremely interested and most likely go ahead with this

Yes you can turbo an NA RB30, a change in pistons, injectors, ecu will be in order.
About the chassis kit, you probably could make your own and get it passed if you use the same grade of metal that CRS/hadfield use. I think its best to speak to an engineer about that.

front cut comes straight from jap with all wiring comp and usually accesseries and even the box, making them ideal for transplants.
oviously nothing beats cubic inch but all the mods are the same and they have some very pleasent returns.

the problem with the xJZ's is that the intake and exhaust are reversed compared to the RB's which means that you have to deal with getting an exhaust around your steering shaft and knuckles.Screw the RB. Go a 1JZ/2JZ Toyota

Screw the 1J/2J then. Go the 1UZ-FE
Whack a couple of turbs on it. Hurrow, horsepower!
