I think there are many who would be offended by the use of the term RICER, especially when it is a term of derision(certainly on this forum) with obvious links to the Asian way of life. JBird through his association with motoring may not be sensitive to this, however, do appreciate that it may not only be asian people who are put off by this term, but there are also non asian people who are not impressed by others using terms with racial connotations in order to put things down or denigrate them.

Love it, too many goodie goodies and polically correct people today who don't won't to offend the immagrant, Well, Harden the F$#k up, this is Australia.truth is.... ricers just have to HARDEN THE F#%K UP!
I'm not racist, I just think we are all getting a little too soft and letting the country we love be run by the soft cocks of this world. Aussie chicks wear those bikinis!

A good point was made above with factory kits been alrite, I agree to a certain extent I guess. Not so sure about the millions of stocko V6 commodes with a kit and HSV badges though. I'd prefer a nice clean stocko, lowered, nice rims that suit... thats if it was all about looks... subtle can usually look better, it certainly lasts better

They're just Ringer utes. Guys that wanna think that they are from the country.
Funniest thing I've ever seen was "ROUTE 69 UTE" and longhorns etc etc.
On a Sedan.

Chevy and a lot of the other "V8" guys know that but don't want to acknowledge it. Different strokes for different blokes.
*Now where is that emoticon for "Flogging a dead horse"*

I was thinking the exact same thing, just you beat me to itso can we call a stock aussie car with a body kit and loud exhaust and no engine mods a "MEATPIE" or "meat and 3 veg" i.e a stock v6 dunnydore with a ss kit.
I think a ricer is something thats had all the bodywork done to a car thats not worth doing it to in the first place, i.e FWD's.
Although personally I have nothing against the jap cars with real potential, ie, 200sx, skyline GTR's(I just like the GTR bit ) etc....
