Why would the LX SL/R 5000 be only worth $12,000 when the LH is worth $12,750?

Also, did LX SL/R's not come out with 253's ?

Maybe someone should email them and kindly let them know... Do you know why they have such "low" prices on the A9X's? Because people will insure their cars through them, and eventually sell them through shannons. If they offer a price much lower than what you could realistically get, then they are gonna offer you that amount for a 'quick sale', then double the price and make themselves a quick buck...

Just my view on shannons...

And where the bloody hell is the UC Torana? And the TA... Maybe someone should really email them... I'll do it in the morning!

they most certainly did as i have one although it sure as hell doesnt have a 253 in it any more :spoton:

i didnt see any mention of those LH hatchbacks they are always trying to sell parts for on ebay :tease:

As an enthusiast of all makes and models of cars regardless of whether they be Holden, Ford, Chevrolet, etc. I think the amount of content on this site is pretty good. There are not that many sites out there that cover such a wide range of topics. From what it looks like they haven't prostituted themselves to any advertising and it also looks like they are providing a totally free selling service. Anyway, my thoughts are that someone should email them with list of prices that are accurate. I always like to help fellow car lovers for the benefit of all of us, rather than critise. When I emailed them about some Ford Falcon prices the response I recieved was, "All statistics gathered were from Auctions & Privates Sales for the last 1 year period. These are then averaged and a value derived". I was also asked if I could assist in providing more realistic prices, and I gladly will. I don't mean to offend anyone but I think someone should send them an accurate update. Also, in all fairness prices on the cars covered in this site are very subjective.

if they have compiled thier prices from sales the previous year then there must be alot of people marking the sale price down on the form you send in to your relevant registration department as to save on stamp duty :rolleyes:

I think it is because the LX's never actually raced, so for that reason where not as popular, even though a superior car technically. (9.5 or something to 1 compression ration instead of 9:0 to 1 for starters).

LX SL/R's did come out with a 4.2L, but looked more like an S model, not like the 5000.

Spose your opinion would also include yella ones as more expensive than other colours also, Mr "yellow ones are faster", hehe !!! (ya missed an opportunity Yella)
