522-12188 lakeside green metallic

that number is not right, I would put my nuts on the line and say it wrong. There is no double 2 in it. I remenber the double 8 in it.

The combo code is 1806 and the paint type and shade number should be 567-12188.

Why isn't the paint type 567 as shown on the body ID tags?

A lakeside green kingwood is a different shade to a lc torana. And they only painted the for 3mth from june to aug 1970, no one like it. I think 6gtr's and 13 or 15 morano's.

The first three numbers are the paint manufacturers number code ie. Dulux, Berger,Spartan etc etc

Obviously as REDA9X has a dulux book their number is 522, 567 would be another paint manufaturer who supplied GMH at the time.

According to my 1971 book it says when painted with Dulon, the first 3 numbers could be 585, 568 for solids, and 587 or 567 for metalics.

I agree that the first thre numbers describe the paint type used for that manufacturer rather than alternative manufacturers.

Ok so the tags have the actual paint manufacturers paint line used on the tag........still doesn't change the fact that REDA9X's formula there is the correct paint formula for Lakeside Green Metallic regardless if its 567 or 522 in front of it.

Different paint manufacturers have different formulas to make the same shades because their bases are different.

Eg Berger Colorbond Cottage Green will have a different color base than the Dulux one and therefore needs different tinters.
