Guys, my son has his year 6 formal coming up and he desperately wants to go in a Torrie, If anyone knows where I can hire one for a couple hours , or if someone is willing to pick him up at Mount Pritchard and drop him at the venue at Cabra Vale please let me know, please let me know the cost........ the date is the 12th Dec... I would do it but my car is not even close to being on the road..... thanks all

Would love to help but I'm in the wrong town but there must be someone out there.Come on guys help this boy out and I'll guarantee he will remember this for the rest of his life,I know I would have. You know whats it like being a young kid and in love with TORANAS,you would do almost anything to get a ride in one.We are a dying breed as most young boys these days want commodores or the jap stuff so its good to see some youth still likes the old stuff.

Yes, I sure do.

Blown308, if you don't get much interest from here, try and get in contact with the Sydney Torana Club (if you go along to one of their meetings and explain your situation to them - if they know about your project they might be extra keen!) and I'm sure you'll find someone who's willing to help out.

Best of luck with the search mate!

thanks Kangur and Heath , I must say that for a 12 year old, his only dream in life is to own a torrie... He has been at me for the last 8 months to get my finished, but the lack of funds and a FJ Ute project have put it on the back burner... He is talking about selling his two motorbikes to fund his first torrie. I think he wants a LJ or LC..come to think of it he may even said any torana will do as long as it goes, he knows he has my full support.... anyway guys thanks the info..

PS - my mate offered him his replica GT, but Dan said he would not get caught in a ford.. what can I say... he would rather walk

well heres hoping that someone can help me

Come on guys!
How about organising a cruize on the night & dropping off the lad on the way?
How good would it be having 20 Torrys drop you off at the formal!
Now that's a night to remember!

i doubt anyone would prefer black & white, but u know if u take pictures in color, almost any image tool on your computer (including Paint) will convert it to Black and White if u wanna do so.

Blown 308,
Hope your son enjoys his special night.. My son and his best friend both went to their grade 6 graduation in an old chev, and they were totally rapt!!! They drove right up to the front door of his school in it.. As you can see from the photo, he was thrilled to bits.. and that was before he even got in it!! :D
