Dont want to be a killjoy people, but can we keep it a bit back on topic.

We've had one drop-out, and i'm sure at least a couple that are ont he list wont make it.

Dont we have any mates that would commit to coming along for a nice cruisy drag day (:huh:.. Cruisy...drag.... did i just say that.. I need more sleep!).

I'm going to be asking my mates again who know some of the VL Turbo guys to see if they want to bring their cars!

yeah Maddy is still on the list but as time gets closer and closer there seems more and more to do to her car before its on the road. Ill leave her name there, and see how we go!

hmmm, well we tried to get Maddys, WILDUC running yesterday and hit a bit of a wall... The motor her dad had rebuilt a few years back (maybe like 10 now haha) is seized. So we are going to have to put in this other motor we have sitting there. So i doubt she will be making it in her car now. As time is getting close and ill have to start work on my car ASAP!

Well I'm going to have to withdraw my Torana from the drag day :cry: Took her out for a drive today and noticed everytime I pushed the clutch in, motor would drop about 400rpm and a horrible noise comming from engine. Got her home and checked crank end float, 0.055 thou movement. Not a good sign. I knew motor was on it's last legs and this drag day was going to be the last for this motor. I may have to run the every day rig down the strip instead.

I had that once on a 202. Apparently there were a bad batch of cranks that were soft in the thrust area. The flywheel bolts hit the back of the block when the clutch is pushed.
