Thinkin that the missus really wont approve of me heading over now guys!
Apparently even though I was thinking of her safety and comfort and stuff I have still done a bad thing by purchasing a V8 Powered AWD vehicle for her to drive to work.

Don't worry, it can't be that slow, I took my subaru brumby down the 1/4 mile at the last day and almost did 20 secs flat, that was me TRYING to give it a flogging!As for the new car, its that slow its not funny.

I am all about having fun but trust me I am not going to bring a mid to late 15 second car all the way over there to have fun when I drive a low 13 second car to work everyday.
Doesnt make much sense to me.
Gotta see how things go now we have made the purchase. Maybe we will bring both so I have some way of towing the hatch back should I get enthused enough to break it yet again.

Hmm, may have hit a snag with my attendance. I got some tickets to the cirque de solei whatever from the in-laws for Christmas, you know family thing, all the brothers and sisters and partners etc. family bonding time. No prizes for guessing the date the performance is on.
I'm going to have to keep you posted as to whether I sign my death warrant or go the the circus

Tiny rach (my wife) said u have to be nuts to think she wold get be hind the wheel of my pride and joy. so u all will have to con her in to it . rach did her first skid onley a month ago in the back yard on grass and she is still shaken ..

I think it should be go it alone. We have enough Torana forum members to be able to do this. Like you said, to many cars, not enough runs.so are we going it alone again? (preferred) or are we having a multi make/multi club day?

yeah so far lets just keep it the way it is going, if you have a mate you want to bring that is fine, but if we just put posts out inviting everyone we will loose the torana aspect to it!
I cant wait guys! im going to get my arse into gear now and put the 9 inch in and also sought out L34 pump to fix the fuel probs! If i still have time and money i might get an exhaust shop to flange up my exhaust system so i can run LOUD!!!

At this stage we are booked and confirmed to have the track to ourselves.
I would suggest though that you invite your mates with similar interests to us as it's a great day to get out there and have some fun!

And the BEST thing is that at Heathcote, if you both have helmets ( available to hire), you can BOTH go down the strip together in the same car!! Just the thing to let you teach her how to do it! FROM THE PASSENGER SEAT! HAHAHAHA!! That's what i did with simmo in the ford... She watched me for one pass.. then they keys were hers! I only went for one run with her ( or was it two? I cant recall) to help her out then she was beating my times AND reaction times!!
We NEED 40 cars guys! We've got a heap commited, but we need 40 cars to make the day a success or we'll be charged extra to race! (Heathcote have to cover their costs.) Invite your mates, If you know good people with other makes of cars they're welcome! Just remeber it's a FUN, Hassle free, relaxed day!

hmmmmmm, have we found out if people without a licence can race? I'm really interested, Dad may wanna take his new car out for a run maybe, and we bought a VN manual off the forums to teach my brother to drive a manual in, but it's future maybe a burnout car or something, treat it for what it is I say lol... Time will tell, do we need to confirm by a set date?

Liam. As long as you have parental Consent then an unlicenced driver CAN race! I think there was an age limit, I know that Heath checked up on this and got the green light!
Confirmation as soon as possible is apprecated because it allows us to plan for the day, but we will need to lock it in at least a couple of weeks before the event!
