Nice,, hows the sanding arm?

What brand of Acrylic?

Did you arylic the engine bay or 2k?

Mines done... Cobra 2k 60% satin.

Its getting a bit too cold for "shed" painting... have you a way of heating the shed/compressor?

Hey mike you have done a killa job on you car mate...engine bay is acrylic protec with valspar clear as will the rest of the car I'm very happy with the valspar clear flows and sits with no peel... I know some people don't rate protec but I have used it plenty of times with great results protec own ppg so I'm not paying for a name as this is a budget build mate.....got heaters for the shed to get it nice n warm....how much did you pay for your gun and what brand is it mate...oh and my arms are like Popeyes lmao...

No probs..

Ive heard good results with Protec as well.. They couldnt garrentee that the Rally Red colour I needed would be exact... PPG said yes.. I know I paid heaps. It cost me about $6500-$7000 to get all meterials plus the gun, thats everything from tape to sandpaper, etc.... including the 2ks,, The 2k hardners/thinners are a joke in price..

Im going to try the new Protec range of acrylics on my missus LJ GTR.. They can mix cyan blue.and they say that the clear is very nice.. Is the Protec COB or good old acrlic where you can sand the colour and top with clear with no sanding showing?

I wonder if its COB like the PPG Dulon Acrylic, well in the reds anyways.. that is how I had to treat my paint... I dont like the Protec 2k's.. very plastic looking.. The Cobra 2k looks pretty close to Acrylic, Its matches the 60% satin Acrylic I have pretty close.... well my opinion..

I bough the new Iwata Bel Aria, gravity with the 3M decupps system.... very nice gun... make sure you get a regulator to put on bottom of gun.. It like 36-40 psi...

wasnt cheap, around $750 with a 1.6 tip as well..

I know All Type paints on Main North road has them at a good price.. I found 1.6 best for acrylic and 1.4 for 2K..

My arm is still sore from rubbing down.. Worst part is.. I have another 4 to paint.
