Al,

I thought you were a good forum poster of events as stated in the OP,

but of late, you seem to be a Moderator or something ?

Wouldnt mind betting Al is one of the reasons we have had a decline in numbers here.

He doesnt play well with others.

Seems to see stuff that others cant.

Cant see stuff that others can.

Has been given some helpful advice, but chooses to ignore it, instead relies on information that is hearsay or otherwise hard to corroborate.

Perhaps he is also the member that makes threats of legal action against members and the forum as well.

These are only my thoughts, and perhaps I have drawn the wrong conclusion.

It doesn't matter who the sh!t stirrers are. There is no room for any of that in here any more. I find it really hard to read threads that degenerate into personal attacks, and there are at least two people guilty of it in this one. It is totally OK for Al and "RM125n" to have two different opinions, or even two totally different versions of events. Post up what you believe and then agree to disagree. It is as simple as that. I actually believe that we have had a bit of a resurgence of members in the last couple of months, with most being sick of the arrogance that surfaces in facebook. Sure, take the piss now and again, as we all like to have a laugh, but lets keep the infighting in the PM box.

I only debate the the information, I have never attack the person,  forum members numbers are still strong (because its the best site for Torana information) but they are not posting anymore why ?

This FORUM has become a CAR CLUB with a inner circle (please note not all car clubs are like this) when a member POST any information different to the inner circle they are attack, that is why posting of information has dropped off by other forum members.

My posts are attacked time and time again. It is as simple as that.

cheers

this will show my age

RM 2 stroke, AIR COOLED and drum brakes. I have always had a soft spot for RM"s

thanks for the laugh

Tell ya what it doesn't take long to remember why I don't come here much anymore.

You guys with agendas, you know who you are, need to take a step back and have a long hard look at why you are here and what you are trying to achieve.

And remember, whenever you are trying to prove a theory, you do it by trying to disprove it, not by looking for things that match your agenda and ignoring those that would prove you wrong.

I mean, what is the point of claiming something to be something it isn't if you then have to hide it to stop others from finding out?

Look for things that are wrong, not what may be right.

Sorry for not sticking to the thread topic, but it seems to be the theme......

Oh and one more thing.

I haven't seen the racist word, and don't really need to, but at times like this, I like to think how far we have come to live in a world where that kind of language is now not acceptable.

I understand that this was not an intentional racist remark, but lets not remind each other of how badly we have treated each other in the past. It doesn't help anyone.

Just because it was written by someone else 40 years ago, does not mean you should post it.

Would love to see some pics or info about Torana Cop cars.  :spoton:

Did we have any in WA?

Do you live down that way?

Man there are some good roads down there to drive in a souped up Torana.

Through the Karri Forests would be awesome.

Yeah I've done this in the Landcruiser and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Bit far to go for a day trip in the Torrie, but it is on my list of to do's.

That Balingup Nannup road is the closest I've come to killing myself. Eyes wide open!

I think the Nannup Bridgetown one is worse Laurie,a rather large drop into the valley below.Only dangerous if your going flat out though.

Potta.

One problem with not posting stuff which now may be considered as not politically correct, is that we are denying the past.

That could then morph into rewriting the history books.

May be a big stretch, but it would seem that there is already an element in society that is trying to do this anyway.

We should never erase elements of the past, whether they are good or bad by modern standards.

But I do digress.

Got this from a Police Historical site on Facebook

The Torana could well be the one at auction that I took some red and yellow defect stickers from.

They were in the centre console at the time.

I wanted the father to buy the car.

He bought a Valiant instead
