Did all notice that although the car is a very dark colour, it still has the GTR side stripes
Also notice the forward mounted mud-guard arial. This is one way of finding out if your GTR was ex-police.
You may not be able to notice on the coloured pic of the Silver car but the grille GTR badge is above the colour centre bar??
Yes, they did make mistakes putting these cars together and that is why some cars are criticised for not being original. What a load of crap.
Regards ................. Barry
I have these pics in a higher file size if anyone wants them.

NSW Police Constable Brian Holt was the first to trial the LC GTR at Cootamundra. His email to me told of its suitability as a Police pursuit car:
I remember making the points that (compared with the Mini Cooper) the GTR had comparable handling ability and acceleration capability and was more comfortable to ride in - better seats, more legroom and more headroom - could more easily accommodate extra passengers when needed and a significant factor -----was easier to service and work on the engine.
The Mini Cooper engine was really crammed in. Fuel economy in those days was not a factor as fuel was cheap anyway. regards Brian
Brian still lives here in Cootamunda and I have asked Brian if any of the Toranas were XU-1's to which he replied "of the 6 that were at Cootamundra over a period of time, only one of them had tripple carbys"
Brian is a nice bloke BUT back in 1978 he booked me for "Undue noise in the manner operated" when I was going through the 6 gears on my TY 175 Yammy trials bike down the main street of Cootamundra.
The first 4 gears on the trials bike are extremely low geared and the bike would scream its head off at 80 Kmh in top.
Maybe it was a good thing that he didn't catch me doing 200 Klicks on my other bike, a 900 Beamer
Brian left the police force not long after he booked me and then came to work where I was at the local abattoirs in the maintenance shop.
He also gave me some photos of police bikes that he rode being the Trumpy and Matchless and I've scanned them into my computer.
Regards ............. Barry

imagine if this beast is still around somewhere today! This is another of the dark LC GTR Police pursuit car without the two standing in front.
Did all notice that although the car is a very dark colour, it still has the GTR side stripes
