Paint Codes for LH and LX Toranas. These are not complete, but there is an option to edit them if you have a code to add:

Not a bad collection, a lot missing and a few errors but a good collection.

My paint code is

567-30526.. Caribbean Turquoise Metallic.

Im guessing it's correct but can someone confirm this for me as I am respraying the torry soon and need to know the correct paint code..

Your colour looks slightly off-abit light, maybe from the sun??? My SLR is caribbean turquoise also, ive just had some spare/repair paint mixed up and it matched perfect to the car-although its had a respray at some point

Hmm when yours is in the sun it looks a bit more like mine.. Ill just get it matched I guess. Coz I like the colour it is now..

Hi,

Does anyone know if those paint codes are 100% correct?
I ask as I am looking at a car that says its an LH but its colour says its an LX colour. Can that be?

Tag reads LH8VD69, 453229M, 1896-19V, 567-15942, L31 M40 GU7. tag has paint on it and Im pretty sure it reads correct. other tag reads 8D69TEJ453229H. Engine number HT5950

Most colours ran for certain calendar years so when models are changing over they can be the same for both models and some colours followed the full sized cars model runs.

For example Salamanca Red was used on LJs and carried over to 74 LHs but for 75 LHs the red was Mandarin which carried forward to LXs.

The colour is Contessa Gold and was available on both the LH and LX range.

Cant see the paint colors on those links - just a generic site.
One of the missing colors I would hazard a guess would be Hot Pink?
This was the color of an LX Hatch that I had time to become familiar with a few years ago. My mate wasa custom painter and was doing some resto work on it. He assured me the trim plate paint code was hot pink by his books as I wouldnt believe him.

Would have to be a special order colour. For someone like Mary Kay perhaps.

Someone needs to put these into a searchable data base - it could link to Joshes one.

Edit - I have put them into an excel format, but I'd like to separate the type from the colour code.
Soon we'll be able to search colours by code, or add into Joshes search.....

ive gone to my panel beater and i searched my paint code on their system with ppg program and my colour does not come up.

 

13883 Adriatic Turquoise is not in the system. Even searching GM 1972/73 and still nothing.

 

Does anyone know if theres a new paint code number for my colour?

Im planning on re-spraying my LJ Patina Gold, its been done before prior to me buying it, the tags say 13887, when looking up paint codes i see a few variations...13887, 2G022 and 16753

 

I would like to keep it the same color, im assuming it is 13887, just want to be 100% before i go ahead with it.

Adriatic Turquoise was a 1972 colour.

Found the following ad on ebay where the seller quotes the current paint code.
