One of my toranas was puchased in 1974 through Midways Motors in Springwood Queensland dealer code 717. Not long after they moved to Beenleigh and changed the name to Motorama Motors but I'm not sure if they kept the same code. They closed up in the mid 80's.

Another torana I believe was sold through Norton Motors in Camperdown Victoria in 1974 (don't know the dealer code). They closed down sometime in the 80's as well.

2 Sydney locations in the late 50's and early 60's
4 locations in QLD, still operational @ Moorooka (took over the old John Sivyer site)
John Harvey worked for them and they have the sweetest engine builder working as workshop foreman / head mechanic (old school hand crafted normally aspirated engines)

904 Motorama City Woollongabba (took over bartons For a while)
904 Motorama City Moorooka (took over John Sivyer) still going)
931 Motorama Holden & HSV Springwood (still going)

Oops, got my Queensland towns mixed up. Midway Motors was at Beenleigh then moved to Springwood as Motorama Motors. Someone told me they had closed up but I just looked them up on the net and they are huge, they employ almost 500 people.

Thanks for your help Balfizar on finding the Norton Motors dealer code, now if only I can get Rare Spares or someone else to make a reproduction of their window sticker... Cheers

hey guys new to the forum but trying to work out what dealer code 499 is and code 273 help would be greatly appriciated

273 is a SA dealer unknown ( more than likely an internal GMH code for SA.)

There were 11 Young & Green dealer locations at some point in time of which I have 5. I believe the central dealership ID may well have covered most.
I also have a complete set (all sizes and colours) of original Young & Green dealer decals. Young and Green were a major parts distributor (a bit like Suttons)
PM me what you have and what is missing.

Up to mid-70s 614 was Savell Bros Pty Ltd, 412 Forest Rd, Hurstville NSW.

would it be possible to find a 1977 dealer sticker
for SHACKS HOLDEN NAVAL BASE w.a
i have not been able to trace one of these
it may well be SHACKS COCKBURN
and was owned by drew shack who sadly passed earlier this year
so no info available from him
his family has been associated with holden for a long time
and still operates shacks fremantle
and possibly the the 10 year old dealership in rockingham w.a
sadly nobody who works there was with the company in naval base
naval base sold 2 a9x,s
mine and an ultra blue sedan
i would really like to reproduce the original dealer sticker
as rare spares do not list it on there site

There was a Young and Green at Toronto, and also at Hunter St. Newcastle... I think where Newcastle City Holden is now ...  as well as Belmont. there was also a Young & Green Parts Warehouse at Kotara ....    does anyone have details for dealer 547 , I bought my car from Dubbo second hand 1989 ..

 

I think Newcastle City Holden was MKL. Young and Green had the "long yard" around where some of the Klosters dealerships are now in Hamilton from memory. There was one at Toronto, and the one at Belmont was where the recently closed 4WD place was, I bought a heap of original Holden paperwork off them less than 12 months ago that was still in there.
