Borrow or buy a harmonic balance removing tool. This bolts onto the front of the balancer. Then there should be a large bolt in the middle. Wind this in and it removes the balancer like magic. Remove the radiator before belting the front of the new balancer with a hammer and bronze/brass drift. Replace the seal and fan belts while you're at it.

sure any harmonic balancer of a red 6 will fit
but to get the old one of u will definatly need a harmo puller, with out it you will
only get the outer part off. as far as the aircon goes the extra pully is a bolt on and
every harmonic balancer has the bolt holes(and its safe to use a good s/hand 1)
if you cant borrow one,DONT HIRE ONE. buy one there not xpensive

Changeover harmonic balancers usually have some paint overspray in the centre hole. Be sure to clean this out with solvent before fitting, as it is an interference fit on the Holden 6 cranks (not so much of a problem on the 8s, as it isn't an interference fit). Don't use emery paper to clean out any overspray, as the radial scratches can make the balancer harder to fit.
