Item Number: 4599389525

Thought it might drop a few jaws. I don't think I've seen a car any more mint in my life. Good on 'em.

Prepare to drool:

Looks great.

If you read into it though - it is a genuine replica.

Those things went like hell straight out of the box but like our Torana's were also very popular for racing and hence there are very few originals left.

All the same shonky crap goes on in the US with those cars as does with the XU1/A9X's if you read the Camaro forums.

That's one damn nice paint job though.

1 look at the price is enough to tell you its not genuine.

A genuine ZL-1 will range from $850,000+ USD in that condition.
Last ZL-1 on ebay was at $865,000 USD reserve NOT met.

Hmm - do great minds think alike, or fools never differ? :tease:

Have a look at the early 70s Opel coupes for a starting point for a GTR-X - much closer, and right parent company :spoton:

hey guys,

if any of you ever peruse Hot Rod magazine you'd see the 67-69 repro Camaro shells the yanks are producing. They take one out of the box, wet rub the shell, then spray paint. Sweet. The shells have just become available on the U.S. market for around $8000US. Imagine the market if they could do the same in LC-LJ 2 door shells. Perhaps it would stop all the drag-race guys cutting the living bejesus out of genuine number cars to pervert them for drag use. :furious:

I heard that as of about 2 years ago you can buy and build an entire 68 Camaro from Repro aftermarket parts in the US - that's what we should have for our Toranas :)

I'm pretty sure a Harrell built ZL1 Camaro was GUARANTEED to run at least an 11.5 down the quarter when they were built.

I'd love to win lotto and go on a muscle car shopping trip to the states, but with so many different cool cars available i wouldnt know which to leave behind :spoton:
