mate that looks awsome, that motor looks so at home in there, love injected ls's in toranas, when you had it engineered was the engine capacity to weight ratio done in the current formula or the national formula?

Dont know what they did but they passed it.
Blue slipped it at a strict station where they check down to the clamp on the vaccum line for brake booster and she passed with flying colours. She is 100% complient I didnt need to pay anyone of to get this thing on the road, but that cost me a bit in time doing it the right way.

Mate that is seriously amazing, a true pioneer as undoubtably you'd be the first to pull off that conversion... and considering how long its taken, it would've been no mean feat. Huge congratulations on your achievement.
So, how does she drive?!

1 more thing, since you've done the hard yakka and painstaking developement, trial and error etc, are you planning to do a tech article on how its done, whats needed etc? I'm sure now a lot of people are interested in undertaking such a conversion seeing as its been acheived.

Once again, huge congrats. Looks awesome

Mat the only chrome on my car is the front and rear bumper bars, wheels are alloys.

Yeah I meant the bumpers - drives me nuts when people call polished alloy chrome - the yanks do it all the time - you have to be sure what you are really getting from those guys.

Definately worth the wait - that is the nicest car I have seen in ages.

Good to see another project completed - always see a lot more started than finished - yeah all you other guys that is directed at you - get them finished.

Those arn't your marks on the road there are they?

Spectacular, even down to the Muirs sticker on the rear window!

Is that an Original sticker? I had a few of them years ago as my friend worked for them for a little while.

Well done mate and congratulations. Top marks for doing things like the extractors yourself and not settling for second best, it's the only way to go.

Hope you get alot of enjoyment out of it, please keep the pic's coming, and some more info and the conversion would be really great!

Thanks all, Im happy with the car but could be happier.
Where I went wrong was being a young, beginner with cars, my 1st car Ive built, I started this when I was 20, now 23.
Not having much $$ you try to do things as cheaply as possible as you can only do what you can afford, so thats what I started out doing.

I should of welded up the unneccessary holes in the engine bay before painting the car, thats the only thing I hate looking at with the car and i should of hide the wiring, but when I started out I wanted a car to drive and if it needed to be worked on every thing was functional, not hidden where it takes 4 days to trace a wire, etc.

But if I did another one, if I can find a clean hatch, it will be 10x better, this was just an in between job after hours when I could be bothered. If I do sell this, money has to be good Ill do a Hatch LS1.
