Hey LX-LS1 what brand of extractors are you using, got a mate who's putting in a L98.

We made these pipes at our workshop 3 or 4 years ago.

There Mandrel bent 1 5/8" primaries, 2" secondaries into 2 1/2" collectors, 1 piece each side then ceramic coated.

I am yet to see a good set of "off the shelf" pipes for this conversion, just make your own, Im sure you guys are handy enough to squeeze a BBC into a hatch, a SBC should be a breeze mate.

I put the car up for sale on Carsales/Carpoint.

Pretty much had all timewasters and project builders just suss me out for info.

I had a done deal with one guy then after 2 weeks of shaking hands etc. his wife wouldnt let him.

Im going to withdraw it for sale atm, I'll enjoy for now.

BTW have an SS hatch REBUILD/RESTORE on the go, hence reason for sale.

Can I ask where you put the coil packs, it really does improve the look of the engine tenfold what you relocate them away from the rocker covers.

not worth puting in ls1. A l98i6.0 is worth it. The performance diff is massive. Ls1 you may as well just put in a gts style stroker motor. Also to just keep the turbo auto is just depressing.

The blown 383 in the picture with the 4speed auto would hand it its ass. Personaly im happy with a standard motor. Its about driveing it and being on the road.

Mate have a look at the date, dont think the L98 was out in Aus when this car was built.

The car actually had an LS2 6.0L crate engine in it since 2008.

Anyway guys the car is no longer in my hands, I sold it back in June 2012 to a great enthusiast who has big plans alround for this car. I will let him chim in if he wants and tell all about the new upgrades and power adders.

I guess I should build a 383 stroker with a 4 speed auto so I can hand my ass out? Apparently John thinks about handing out ass?

It's called jealous, some people get cut when they can't do what others achieve.

Have you got some pictures of your fully sick ass handing out hatchback?

^ Haha!...good call mate :P
I remember seeing this build thread when I first got my hatch & thought this car was so neat & well done & a credit to you.
Do you have plans for anything else in the future mate? No 383 4 speed auto's though cos handing out ass doesn't sound like fun at all....
