Hi lads. Any suggestions for how to remove the sticky residue that gets left behind when you remove the actual tint film. Hard scubbing works but I'm after a quick fix
Cheers

a rag and some acetone should do the job.

get window cleaner, spray it on liberally and get a new razor blade and it will come right off, just dont scratch the glass.

Wax & grease remover or Prepsol these should get the adhesive off fairly easliy after you scrap the film off. Best to use a spray bottle as it soaks in better than on a rag.

I used to be a tinter and we used to use a soap and water solution and a 1 inch scraper blade to remove the tint and glue in one shot.
I would suggest using a steam gun to take it off the back window ( with a demister) otherwise you wont have a demister - No demister No problems scrape awy
One word of warning, if its on the torana the glass may scratch once some resistance is felt on the blade - CHANGE THE BLADE
also dont buy cheap blades OLFA or SNAP ON, although expensive are much better if you want a good, easy job
cheers
dave
