hi all
im just wanting to know if anyone can tell me the official release date of the lc torana?
the reason im asking is that ive got a commemorative piece which was supposedly given to journalists at the launch of the lc torana.
its a gtr petrol cap but on the reverse instead of having the bit that holds it onto the filler neck, its got a plaque saying.
lc torana
28 october 1969.
(i think 28, dont have it in front of me)
anyway is this the right date as ive seen a few cars made before this date.
or do i just have a dodgy paperweight??

The latest AMC mag says launch date of the LC was October 1969 (can't see a day) so your cap date could be good.

i saw one of those commemorative fuel caps on ebay a few years ago, went for a decent price too.

yeah i have seen a few on ebay but never interested to buy them.....would be great but too much i seen some go for like $120

my gtr was born on 29-9-69,so s models must have been earlier.
