Bottledup, i said they arent VERY good at flow and performance...

they will make lots of power and flow well but there are much better heads out there, 12 degree chev heads are better the narrower valve angle is better for performance

For the record 2 aftermarket chev heads mostly use 18 or 15 degree valves

something for holden guys to cheer about holden started out with 6 degree heads

Most common Chev is 23 deg as this is standard
Performance/Race is 18

Never heard of a 15

i have seen a few 15 deg heads and the serious race ones are 12 degrees

V8 supercars when they used the chev used 18 deg heads

So your pinching Sarshas engine
Putting the rebuilt 383 in yours and the 350 in hers
The white hatch has a 9" and so does Sarshas so your set there

All sounds like a reasonable plan so far
Can't have hers being faster than yours

yes, we did an enigne trade, the 383 needs to be pulled down... so shes getting a good deal i recon..

hers is getting a 350 this weekend so it can be driven. :spoton:

both hatches will have 9" diffs, tuff rebuilt turbo boxes and strong chevy's.

her diff even has a LSD 3.08

i cant own a 4door when she has a hatch.. i look at both of them together and i prefer the hatchback, like them alot.

i ask my self the same question todd... will it ever end?? i think it will... this hatch is gonna be all TUFF! and all top quality.

Hopefully there wont be much expenses..
may keep the sedan, but where to put it?? guess i could store it somwhere.

will sell some parts so i can get some tuff HQ wheels at least 10"rears and 8" front in 14-15". if any one is selling some let me know

im sure u could put a big bolt though the chasis to suit a baby seat spoton.gif probly shouldnt drive a baby around in a 383 in the first place though haha ould anyway though... i feel 10times safer in a v8 then a 4cy!! im sure alot of you guys would agree...

 im exited :tease:

^^^^
looks like, no wireing,
cant see a steering colum??
engine bay clearly sprayed with hand held spray cans....
the paint looks like primers... probly just the camera used
no fuel tank due to exhuast, must of had fuel cell

maybe i should harden the f*ck out of the 4door with a 5k loan im going to get approved for, get it a budget 9", some good fuellie heads or dart. dont know if i can get myself to pull my 350 out..... would be too sad. get it a wheel allignment and some 215rears and 205 fronts, Twin 2 1/4 exhust with Good mufflers and a super sports baby seat with harness.( just incase )

what do you guys think i should do?

nathan

For that money it is a complete rip off... Remember how much you paid for sarshas hatch, and that was running and driving. Keep the 4door man, you'll have another 5k to spend on it in the near future then eh!!

yeah good decision nathan, for the price it wasnt worth it, and try ebay or the trading post and find a 9inch thats for sale from a torana LH-UC and whack that in , should only cost about 1200 max for the whole lot, and if u need ur tailshaft shortened/lengthened go see Alan at driveline services, the guy i told ya bout.

go for a more fun ratio, something around 3.25 at least, you have a overdrive gear dont you? 3.00 will be lazy off the line, but it'll idle whilst crusing on the highway.

alarm should be 1st on list, i recommend RHINO brand, has good features.

looking good

Your a crazy mad man nathan! If your gonna give the motor a tickle of giggle gas, i'd suggest some more fun diff gearing! With 3.00 you'd be wasting nos. If you had 3.5's or 3.7's and an overdrive box you would run just as quick without the nos!!

The diff gearing in my 9" is 3.25:1 and i rekon that's the shit!! Mine's more of a daily than a drag car though...

thats exactly the same ratio as i run^ i should have gone for 3.45:1, still its good for a daily.
