What happened to the stabilizer bar? Can't you run one with the 9"??

im sure you could run a sway bar if the mounts where on the housing... but there not.
maybe the stock bay would clash on the big center housing? there HUGE!!

update on the 383 build, everthing seems to be going good. few compression issues but a 060thou head gasket fixed that! should get it down from 11.6 to 10.2.

everything came back from balancing and i started to put it together... after a few dilemas iv finished building the bottom end.. :rockon:

heads came back from a reco too! there lookin sweet as :spoton:

was going to put the heads on today but it looks like i need a new set of valve springs. so after i get some of those ill drop the motor into the car not long after

What he said! It looks like both our 383's will be going at about the same time... Close call... I give mine a week or so and it'll be purrin, i ordered the exhaust today. What radiator hoses are you running?

hell yea

i got a ford hose from supercheap and made it fit... maybe they make the correct hose?
sarshas hoses seem to fit perfectly like they we custom made for chev/torana.

and for the top hose i used a universal bending hose

decided to chop up my floor pan and install a chassi strenthening kit.
after putting one in, you can really see how good they are.. :spoton:

doing every thing right, defiatly couldnt handle it if my car got twisted up lol that wouldnt be cool at all. getting so real carpet in there too

some moulded plush pile black.

before i installed the second pipe i took measurements of the pipeing if anyone wants to make them there selves to save a load of cash :spoton:

i could scan the instructions and get measurements of the template if any one is really interested. there isnt any copywrite logos anywhere on the papers.

just need to get a m8 to weld them in now! was quite easy.. a bit scary choppin up your ride tho haha

going to install and b&m line locker while im at it :rockon:

as the brake line needs to be cut with this modification.

Hey UC Chev,
Just wondering where you bought all your engine goodies from, Particularly interested in the new block for $1100 bucks, that is cheap as. I Had a quik look on the net for block's & the cheapest I could see was about 3 grand.

i bought most parts from a local performance shop.... but if you know exacly what you want the cheapest way would be to order the complete eagle stroker kit... for about $1100 i wasted a bit more getting everything seperate :cry:

Ebay engine block.. haggle it down to $1100, i did :spoton:

and pick-up from most eagle shops in australia so no postage cost!!!

block has cam bearings installed and new welsh plugs installed, pretty gud :rockon:

Cheers for the above measurements nathan! I may get some steel and make my own kit some day soon!

How is project 383 coming along? Mine is exactly 2 weeks away from being fired up! I just have to work on getting home first! Thats 1 week away yet (DOH!)... Everything else is sorted and I now have the correct intake manifold gaskets! Damn Vortec heads!

the dominator is a 750cfm, borrowed it for the pictures, looks good
