I say spend the cash, get the brakes done on the SLR and get the sucker registered so he can take it on the cruise...he says pay for our holiday (ironically a cruise) in October.
Yeah, the Torrie wont look the best, but at least she is drivable, is original and straight, just needs a slick coat of paint that can come later.
Tiny, I think this is why he has been so keen to get you guys here...he wants to show the old girl off, but cant drive it unregistered.
I say just do it.
Life is too god damn short to worry about the future so much! The way I drive, I could be hit by a truck tomorrow...
What do you guys think...spend it on the Torrie or pay off the holiday? I say plenty of time to pay off the holiday (most already paid for anyway)...

I'm not sure how much money we're talking about here, But even if its a couple of grand, That could be saves up again fairly quickly (if it's required by october) by putting say $50 a week away extra!
And as you said, Who knows what can happen! If you can see yourself making th savings ( dont want to fall short!) then i'd say go for it!
Cheers!

The car (LJ) has been sitting so long, I've got a fuel gremlin...Lucky I have triple SU's sitting here, that I might slap on. But I still need to change the front subframe..which hasn't been filled with noltec goodies yet...and I couldn't be bothered tackling it by myself ARGH. I should've had brakes and wheels/tyres by now if it wasn't for uni fees/books..
I might come for the cruise, Just to check out other peoples cars...prob won't be in the torry.

Also IF it is raining I dont think i will be coming cause -
a - my car leaks if the nose is pointing up a hill and
b - having no heater/dimister/fan makes things intresting when trying to drive wth fogged up screens.
