Hi everyone,

Had a great day on the gmh-torana run (NSW). :D

Thanks to Tiny and Keith for organising the run and all those who attended. I had to leave at 2.30pm (along with Davo) due to family commitments but the boys are still kicking on.

Here's a few photo's that I took, with many more to come from our other members.

Thanks again guys, terrific day.

Mick.

Guess who owns this car?

And what's a torana run without mechanical problems. Just have to work out what to do and then draw straws.

Stop kicking me Tiny, I'll get under.

Hey all it was a top day i enjoyed myself and the Locations were Perfect! I appologise for the Break Downs. It was a very long drive home with a short stop at Carlingford to see family and 10 minutes into the trip home smoke started to come out from under the car when i stopped. A quick stop and a mop up and i was back on the road for the slow crawl home up the old Pacific Highway. Hope to get the car fixed tomorrow!

Thanks to Tiny, Keith & Everyone for showing up today.

The Aussie Muscle car is Alive and well.

Cheers

Josh

As above, what a top day, thanx to all involved and blown308 for the pit stop. Not all could be there and there all the time but all great people. It was a good show of SLR's with examples from old stock to the new, with one of each pretty much making their first time out and Tiny's new motor going strong. Better luck for the hatch turn out next time.
Not much else to say thats already been said.
Cheers Guys.

Well i am suitably pissed off. Struggled all morning to fix my problems, finally got it fixed at about 3.30 (atleast we thought) so off i went at like 4ish and thought i would meet up with you all for tea and a movie, encountered problems on freeway with the motor leaning out under load, up hills, so after it happened a few times (i made it to all of mount wite exit) i turned off, and took the old road home, this meant i could do 70 ks all along it, and not overstress the motor. Got home alright, but pissed off, looks like you all had an awesome day. bugger.

Thanks to Tiny and Keith for organising the cruise. Great weather and good company can't ask for more than that. Looking forward to the next run.

TORANA IN THE BLOOD hope you sort out that axle problem.

TUFF we didn't get a chance to catch up, hope your problem is sorted asap.

OrangeLJ seems like you are highly motivated to get that thing up and running, shame you missed this one, catch you on the next run.

Hey Guys!

As everyone else has said, The day would not have been as good as it was without all of you who made the effort to come out!
It was great to see TORANA IN THE BLOOD's car even with diff problems! Get that 9" in champ and ready for the next one!

A big thanks goes to Keith who drove and planned the route ( you sure you dont work for a fuel company??), And even mother nature's gotto get a mention as the weather was absolutely 110% perfect.

It was awesome to see the papaya SLR of Nutboy, and I'm really angry that i didnt get a chance to have a GOOD look at GMH355's monster! I didnt think quick enough to look before you guys had to leave! Thanks for making the drive even though you had to go early!

Toranajudd..... thanks for coming out with your lovely girlfriend mate, Even if you had to bring "the matchbox car" as the dam security guard put it :P Great to catch up again mate!

lxsstorana, I'm glad that you were able to come down with the XU1 along with... Err... Christ i'm hopeless with names!! Someone had to turn up for the "Little Torry" team! Was great to catch up with you both and have a look at your cars! Fine examples both of them :)

Mr and Mrs Blown308, Thanks for allowing the group to stop by for a rest and a coffee! It was greatly appreciated! And great to meet both of you.

Terry, Dad and Young terry, Thanks for coming out, Was good to see a UC in the brigade too :P THe young bloke was really well behaved all day too! Top stuff!

I think next cruise ( Yes! Sunday!!) we could pick a location similar to wehre we did but have more stationary time to sit around and chat! The cricketers arms was great for that! Dont ya think Halil? Thanks for making the trek out after work mate!

TUFF... Maaate... those bloody gremlins had to get someone.. and i'm just glad it wasnt me!! (well... except for when i gave a few extra revs on the freeway home.. but we wont discuss that :P)
Glad you got home ok, Thanks for making the big drive down mate, I hope you get it sorted quickly and cheaply!!

A big thanks also have to be said to paul and his wife for bringing out that magnificent GT replica to keep us holdens honest ( and bringing along thewir great sense of humor!), and also to Roy for making me jealous all morning with his 8/71 blown BIGBLOCK Coupe! Awesome machine :)

Was a top day, I really enjoyed it and i'll get around to washing josh's trans oil off the car soon!
