
How to ID a holley Carb

These can be seen on the front of the carby with the air cleaner removed, usually a five digit number like this; 4777-2 or 1850-3. These are four barrel carby numbers, so post the numbers or a photo and numbers would be better.

but from what you've described, it sounds like a vara-jet carby as used on blue and black Holden sixes

It has 3095 list 1850-1
any thoughts on what size it is?

Great for a 2lt Escort/Datsun/Gemini but might be a tad small for a worked six but might get you by on a standard 161/173 if your desperate.......a 350 Holley would be a better choice and if built properly will give reliable performance contrary to popular opinion.
