The only way "To Fly"
If any motto is warranted
AND if any of the arm band printing is done then have them forward and not centred as they are hard to see from straight on.
My idea of having words on a shirt is to be able to see it entirely from the front or back.
Another of my silly ideas is having the out-line of the old Bathurst track (pre Caltex Chase) on the back and in middle of that the years won by Toranas.
Anyway just another 2 bobs worth from an old Torana Tragic
Regards ................ Barry

I also like the SS SL/R GTR XU-1 bit on the sleeve.
What about the 2 silhouettes of the LJ and SLR on the back inside the Bathurst track layout with Barry's "Torana The only way to fly" bit underneath.
But like so many others, what ever you guys come up with I will but some. I prefer the Black Polo type shirts like last time.

"The only way to fly - since 1968" on the back, so people have to look at the front to figure out what it means.

The best thing about the previous design was it was subtle and stylish - you could wear them out to the club if you wanted to without a problem!
T-Shirts are comfortable to wear around the car and stuff, but probably not as stylish.
When i get a chance, I'll look in to the option of doing Polos like we did - more stylish design, and t-shirts screen printed with maybe a more aggressive styling.
I'll defintiely ask about colour choices and costs too, but bear in mind that the last time we had:
All the different sizes, and 3 different types of shirts - Cotton - polly cotton - cool dry and i can tell you 110 shirts took simone and i 3 BIG nights to sort through, pack and send. THe more options - the more headache it is for us.
But yeah, Bear with me... I'm doing 12-14 hour days at the moment.
Cheers

Couldnt agree with you more and sometimes like was mentioned before "less is sometimes more" if you go to overboard with the graphics we may as well go back to hawaiin shirtsI really like the bathurst track outline and the winning years as a back logo design...

is it such a bad idea to see if a printing company would take orders direct? and therefore it would be up to them to sell them, pack them and post them out etc. and also people could order what they want, when they want it, and different colours, styles etc wouldn't be an issue. although if you use it for fundraising for the forum it wont work, cos you wouldnt see any money from the sales. (mabey there is a printing company that would donate $xx for each item)
its just a thought, could be a worthwile option that would be ongoing

I doubt there would be any companies that would do it that way though, From what ive seen they prefer to do 1 setup, and complete a large run to get the economies of volume to keep the prices decent.
Something i will look in to though!

I'll have a play wit a design or two tonight, i like the idea of using the "rustic look" style on a faded style type of shirt... I'll try and find samples of the shirts i mean... I'd love the shirts to look like they came from the 70's and have been at the bottom of our draws for 30 years!
Do they still make those Hyprecolor shirts , you could have two colors in one shirt .

I have just bought some and I am going to give them a go - $2 each and you can iron them on any shirt or knickers you want to.
We could then come up with some different logos which we could download and choose which ones we wanted to print and chuck on our clothing.
They even say cheaper for bulk orders inside the package.

Yeh, I have used the Iron Ons before, and they look really cheap... After a few washes they kinda fall off... They may have improved a bit... But I'm still not a big fan.
Have you used these type though or the old 80's glossy ones?
They reckon these ones look and feel like a screen printed one when finished.
One way to find out, when I get my blank T-shirts and try them I will let everyone know - not like I am risking cattle stations here.
The shirt I got from the last batch of shirts made on here didn't last at all, it was shit, mine turned from black to a medium grey colour after about 3 washes and I never hung it in the sun at all, then the middle button hole fell apart a few weeks later so I couldn't even button it up properly.

If we're all prepared to pay for them it shouldn't be expensive for you guys right?
I worked for the Royal Easter show many years back and I still have a long sleeved black polo that they gave me, it has the 'Moove' logo in a red stop sign printed on it. The colour on both shirt and print hasn't faded and it still looks good and fits well.
The company on the tag reads Hyper Active clothing (Sydney) in case you want to check them out.
Wouldn't mind seeing that red stripe design in a long sleeve polo.
A tip to sizing, lay the shirt flat and measure from armpit to armpit, no confusion there.

Hoodies, Jackets, Caps, Beanies, Singlets.
Then some novelty stuff like Jocks, Baby gear, Should also do some designs for the girls on the site! I can imagine the logo all stretched out now, the girls will get the best advertising for us all! LOL

I have a mate who does embroidery, might do screen printing, will hit him up. We would have to supply the shirts though I think.
And matt, even if they dont do all the things they are saying, I can hit him up to do hoodies and stuff as one offs.

We're going to be speaking with companies who can do us both with Tees and Polos. It's going to be a bit of a logistical nightmare, but i'm prepared to do it once and do it right and get the shirts that people want!
Were getting contacts from a few members and THEIR contacts and we're going to be asking them how best they can help us! I'm sure it wont be TOO hard!
We'll do our best to please all!
