just a story on the welding around the gearbox hump, when i got the car home i found that someone must of had gearbox probs so they cut out the drivers side of the hump then replated it with gal sheet. Never like the repair so i replaced it with same panel out of another manual pan i had spare.

I over did it with this floor, welded both sides, plus extra spots onto the rail to avoid lifting.
Next time i would only stitch it both sides then seam seal all the edges.

There is a noticeable lip of approx 20-25mm where they spot welded these panels together.
The after market pan sections are pressed exactly the same as original.
bedford - seam sealer is a brush on product that goes over any overlapping seam to seal out moisture. You can pick it up at any panel paint shop.
Once brushed on it cures in 20 mins and is paintable. Will not shrink crack or move.

bedford - here's a couple of shots of the seam sealer on the same floor pans.
I spripped the floor bare then etch primer followed by the seam sealer over all the original seams plus the welded ones then i hit the entire floor with a couple of coats of black.
