Wow awsome stuff! Good onya mate, can't to wait to see pics. Most of the best toranas usually have little to no GMH parts in them anyway.

I respect someone who knows what they want in a car. Fair enough some peeps will have bad words to say about it, but if it drives and stops like a normal car and even still looks like a Torry - who's gonna know! And for that matter, who is gonna say "that ford motor is tuff" when you have just toasted them down the 1/4 - they wont know! Thats not to say that ford make crap motors, quite the contrary.

I say you are a true car nut, and daring to be different is what sets the enthusiasts from the bogans. Well done mate!

Thanx keithy, always loved the shape of the toranas, especially the LX. Don't go much for the LH headlight set up. As you probably can tell, don't go much for anything that has a dizzy at the back of the engine.

Fair enough! I much prefer the dizzy at the back - its out of the way then and looks much neater in the engine bay!

Good on ya mate! Put your pics up when you get them!

Cheers

*** q for you scottya,

with the ford block is the weight distribution over the front better than the gmh or chev engines?

also any ideas on weight comparisions to gmh chev/ ford blocks?

Hi gtr161s, Dont know the weight differences between the ford, gmh and the chev blocks. But what i can tell you is that with the dizzy at the front of the ford block and the sump i used, i could customise the engine mounts and put the engine closer to the fire wall. With the angel of the exhaust ports on the cleveland heads, the custom extractors clears the side of the chasis rails alot easier than chev and holden do.

Does this car really exist or is it something you would like to build.

Been nearly three weeks and no photo's. What's going on?

Lxsstorana, Wouldnt waste my time or anybody elses time if this project didnt exist. As earlier replies have stated that i have to do a complete dummy assemble again to have a new bigger custom extractors made. The original set didnt perform on the dyno wich i wasnt happy about. For some reason they lost hp and torque at around 540hp. My engine builder done a back to back test with another set on the same engine and made 580 hp. As you may appreciate, these projects take alot of time money a patients, as do wife , kids and work. But have to buy new digital camera to post pics faster, but working on it.

Me too ! original dummy assembly was done in a rusted out bare shell which has since been dumped. Now have very straight complete car which i have to start all over again(engine out, gearbox out, diff out, fuel tank out) then 9inch in , hang exhaust gearbox ,engine block in then send it away to get new extractors made. Very time consuming. But thanx to those who watch and read with genuine interest.
