The factory colour is casino blue with black trim.I supose the other question is is it worth anything as a L34 or a stocker?
I dont plan to sell it as i we be passed on to my 1st son which means i need to build another for my second son.
my ultimate goal is to have a L34 for me.cheers

If I had a choice between a flared and an unflared car, in the same condition, for the same price, I'd get the unflared.

btw its not about being different its about what you want your car to look like

I'd drive a Corolla if I didn't want to be different.

It is always about what you want. some love either or both, some just love UC's some just LC's and LJ's or whatever, getting the drift. No one can make your mind about what you want cause its yours and going by others opinions makes it not completely yours in the long run.

I have a pretty distinct taste in cars. I love big, modern wheels on old cars, which a lot of guys think looks shithouse. In the same respect, I love those big, modern wheels bolted to clean, smooth, bright cars.
If it was my LH in question, it'd be unflared, metallic blue or orange or green, with a set of 17" or 18" wheels.
The bottom line is what you want. But remember, once you've cut into the guards, you can't turn back easily.

BTW tim its a SLR
If the car was for me I probably be like the rest and follow the cattle trail to the flair's paddock.
But its for my son, at this point he just learnt how to count let alone make decision weather he wants a L34 look alike or a stocker.
This may sound crazy but it ill be another 12 years before he ever gets his hands on it. But in 12 years how many SLR are going to be around.
My job is to restore the heritage that the car deserves .The problem that I have found is with the current mussel car rush, People are just waken em together for a profit .sad news for genuine collectors.
So im just trying to get some opinions from the collectors view .I would rather do this resto to a L31 but hard to find stock ones priced well for restoration.
Looks like ill keep it as a stocker and keep looking for a LH L31 for resto.
Cheers

Was a pin stripe or paint?
And has anyone got the measurements.
Were the tops of the doors in the interior painted or trim?
What was the colour of the Air vent section of the dash near the windscreen?
I just pulled the wiring harness out of an SL because it is very neat will it have the same connections for the SLR dash for the extra gauges
cheers

depends on the trim code of the vehicle

yes the wiring in that harness is the same apart from the tacho(brown) wire.unless the donor had factory fitted sports dash.
