Ouch thats the worst combination, wet road, crooked impact.

Certain cars attract certain types of drivers, so maybe it is true. Whenever Ive seen a Mazda SP20 its being driven like it was stolen.I don't think the car has anything to do with the cause of the accident Matt...another reason why i hate toyotas....
Ouch thats the worst combination, wet road, crooked impact.

Seeing stuff like that reminds me of the fact that even though we love our older cars and theyre simple to fix and maintain, their relative low value and the high cost of labour means that getting a car written off by an insurance company is very common in small accidents. I had a 3 cyl 2 door Charade that I almost had written off when a learner drove into a roundabout while I was still in it, the damage was fairly minor down one side and the car was drivable, but the repairs werent much lower than the market value.
Its hard to replace a car that youve spent time and money on getting to a reliable state for what the insurance companies pay out. Even if you buy a similar car for similar value you have to start again in terms of repairs and maintenance.

Just have to wait for the write-off money to clear to start wrecking the hatch.
The deal isn't done till the money is in the account.
He did O.K. though.

They all got Holdens for their 18ths. The girls got 4 cyl auto Commodores and the boy got the UC.
Now they all drive Jap cars.
I did my bit but they have their own brayns.

The insurance initially offered $1650, they keep the car.
Through negotiation, I got it up to $1900 we keep the car!
I'm in the wrong game.

Nice work Rodom with the bargaining, you've done quite well out of it in the end.
The car has now been stripped to the bare shell.
37 items sold on e-bay for $4044.48 in total.
Along with the $1900 from the insurance brings the total to $5948.48!!!!!!
A BIG THANKS TO ALL FORUM MEMBERS THAT BOUGHT ITEMS, some bought multiple items.
Parts went to all states with the exception of W.A and N.T.
I feel like I've scattered it ashes
