EDIT: Okay now that i've seen it; it's simple but I don't like having cars on it. The poor UC that got left out :(

Wat are we looking for? A collared shirt will cost more and also u cannot really screen print onto polo material, a polo is more for embroidary or even a badge of some sought (btw that badge look is in, not sure how much this option would cost, a funky designed GMH-torana.com seew on badge!)
Anyway i am really just thinking out loud trying to get some ideas across and also a bit of experience with these mediums..

Silhoutte has been stretched over the text, dropped the flags and a more basic text.

On a shirt (ignore the fact it's really the front but blended to make it look like the back, it's a bitch trying to find a rear shot of a polo shirt that isn't being worn)

With "gmh-torana.com" across the bottom of the sleeve, some form of logo (that doesn't say gmh-torana.com) on the chest, and the logo + underneath that a reasonably sized (as you have there already) saying: "gmh-torana.com"
(I think having "gmh-torana.com" on the chest + back is a bit too much from a design point, but that's me)
Would love to see the sleeve part included!
That's my 2c.
Definately be chasing one when they're done though.
I'll give a quick design a bash.

Two designs for the FRONT that I have come up with.
They're very simple and un-cluttered.
I had no decent fonts to use but a nice simple bold font like shown would be best (but one that looks slightly cleaner).

In this design, the big "gmh-torana.com" lettering up the side, imagine that sitting on your actual side (not at the front) of the shirt when being worn.

Basic uncluttered designs that make use of the easy blue/red outline and easy to read gmh-torana.com on the chest.
The rear of the shirt I'm thinking just use something like this without the "www". (and thus retract my words about using "gmh-torana.com" too much).

Maybe something like the banner at the top of the page with the checkered flag behind the logos down one side of the shirt? Or has someone done that?

I still like the idea of the performance badges on the back, it's colorfull, simple and instantly recognisable, which is why I went that way in the first place.
I'll be contacting the printer today, but I'll also chase up an embroider.
Will post costs soon.
Lots of feedback so far....it's good to hear all sides.
Should raise a fair few bucks with all this interest.

I prefer a clean neat uncluttered look. Then again 'old farts' tend to be that way lol

Any insight as to whether people like the way "GMH Torana .com" is displayed on the chest like that, or with the sleeve or up the side etc. ?
You could print that on the sleeve/side/chest if it saves cost.

WOW... you guys have really swayed me too... Looking at the picture in this thread ( Thanks tinks.. you made it SO much easier!) and comparing it to some of the other designs... I'm not sure now!
I really do like the uncluttered look. I'm leaning to leaving the silhouettes off for two reasons that spring to mind.
1) Really only torana people will know what they are.. to the general public.. they'd be two squiggly lines with no meaning
2) more uncluttered look!
I like the idea of the sleeve work, I always think that looks good!
I's also coming around to the idea of the badges on the back for the exact same reasons as Knoath mentioned.. theyre easily recognisable, and they display the performance heritage of the cars we all enjoy.
Thats not to say were pissing on the S, SL, Sunbudgies ( well maybe the budgies

Ive just had another idea... and yes... thats probably what you all heard

What about designing a one line phrase that sums this website up? Like a motto.
AussieV8.com.au has "let the pistons do the torquing". Maybe we could come up with something similar inlength but that describes this forum, and our cars. Maybe that could take the place of the badges on the back? (Or take the place of the website address on the back or sleeve!!??
OK.. now ive thrown a spanner in the works... but what do you all think!?
Cheers.

Im Just looking at a few other shirt designs similar to ours that could give us ideas.
(Image removed by Tiny)
Sorry couldnt resist this one!
I would prefer to see a very simple design as well, a collared shirt with gmh-torana.com on the left breast embroided would look fantastic i believe. maybe a logo or something on a sleeve would work great as well, but i think it would have to be the forum banner (only the holden lion and words gmh-torana.com though)
