Stainless steel body.

The stupid V6s don't start up when they're warm :fool:
I'm sure they have plenty of other flaws as well.

TORANASS, what a waste of a Scorpian... i love those things!

A Delorean came into work back in 1988. The owner said it was gutless, but eye catching.

Stainless from top to toe (good if you live in the UK!) that's the chassis aswell, independant rear, discs all round, rear engined, all alloy fuel injected quan cam V6... sorry but can't see an awfull lot wrong with all that in 1988! Yeah it's not quick but it is well tuneable if your not a purist and it's shiny with gullwing doors. 3 of them were gold plated.

Yeah some marketing ploy! They planned on doing 100 of them but only did 3. I was reading up there and apparently they were rated at 170bhp but were down to 130bhp in the US becasue of emission regs. The 170bhp spec did 0-60 in 10.5 so what on earth did the US spec one do?!? Oh yeah they went on sale in 1982 not 1988 as I said earlier, not bad technology for 1982!!

RPV STANDS FOR
R=REVOLTING
P=PISSWEAK
V=VOMIT
I KNOW THATS PRETTY UNFAIR
but lets face it with the miriad of engines that was available at the the time
i can only asume that these were purchased for three reasons
no1 would have been cost
no2 they were already compliant in europe(delorean had plans to sell these cars through out europe
and three,no one else really gave a damn about it,,,,,,
look i really like the look and stance of the car ,
i very nearly bought a 3.3litre porshe turbo and g50 to transplant into it but
the manufacturing side of the car was well lets just say less than adequate
and the amount of engineering to fit the above combo was staggering.my engineer said i would be better of just buying a 930 3.3 turbo(which i did and let me sayvery exspensive to maintain but what a fcucking orsome car,but thats another story)
anyway thats past history.
i am sure the new owner loves it
