I was considering selling the Torana to get a Blue Brock however they are out of reach now. Would probably sell the Torry now for a goood VN GRP A which are, in my eyes the next best thing.

VN GRP A would be the next best thing IMHO also.

My next project after the hatch is finished hopefully in the next century is gona be a VK Bluey. I have a motor and box out of a GRP 3 in my garage just sitting under the bench, it would make a good base to a Replica and all i need is a good clean VK exec witch shouldnt be too hard to find and cheap. Body kits are easy to get remakes of also.

REDA9X,

You have also just hit a soft spot with me, the only other car i would buy apart from my dream Torana is a Blue Meanie, i absolutely love them, would you believe i have one as a screen saver & background on my computer, i can remember first laying eyes on a family friends one when i was like ten years old, from that moment i was hooked and i thought to myself, i have to own one of those one day.... one day....

However it would have to be after i buy my dream Torana!

My opinion, dont sell the A9X, but just add to the collection!

Bought a VK Group 3 when it was under a year old, the Group A was just a few too many $$$. Passed up a Group A VK for $25,000 less than 3 years ago, very tidy car which l went and looked at twice in Northcote (Vic) (stupid, stupid, stupid) sold my A9X hatch for $14,000 when l bought the VK (double stupid, stupid, stupid) :fool:

I am biased as I have a VK SL group A as well as my toranas and it kills the toranas for comfort and handling. Just do what i did and have both.

I helped prepare the VN Group A for Gregg Hansford for the NT Cannon Ball Run..We changed the wheels as George Sheperd said the stock ones were prone..??...to breaking under stress.

Agree with the others Red, keep the A9X and add the Bluey. l bought one about a month ago now, absolutely love the thing. If l could only have one l would take the Bluey over an A9X.

Here's a few pics;

Id prefer a black one but a Bluey is still on the top of the list to me.

sorry my pics are not that fantastic. I wish I had taken a tripod now. I will next time for sure.
Monza, you are biased like good old 086/206 Bob. I still think I'd take the monza though mate, best of both worlds for an A9X hatch lover i think.
Mondie, first time I went down to Melbourne we went to stay with a mate. I pulled over, (it was about 1100pm) to get my bearings. I rang my mate and he said where are you. I explained roughly and he said look around, you are parked in Peter Brocks driveway!! He is a good mate of James so he knew exactly where I was.
I'll still take the Momo Stars over the Aeros any day.

That A9X looks hot as anything, I'd swap 5 cars of mine for that.

That VK looks better then new, straight as an arrow.

Hey REDDOG,

If you sold all your bits, you could buy a Bluey and still keep the FAKE (Well you did admit it has no Dealer's Sticker).

Then you can be called BLUEDOG.
