Yeah, we are there.

Sorry for the lack of update, it's been a big fortnight,

For all intents and purposes, car is done.

Couple of gremlins to chase and a couple of minor bits & bobs, but otherwise, done.

Where is the scrutineer???????

Job now is to fine tune the setup. Finsihed pics on the weekend.

Here is a phone pic, sorry about quality, of the revised front Simmons.

Tyres are dunlop do1 R spec in soft.

15 x 8 allround as per the regs.

We will have 15 x 11's to sit on the rear for display and transport so the old girls doesn't look odd.

Thanks to the local lads who have been a great help. Bit more and we are there.

The paper ran a story in the motoring sectiopn of the Sunday Times. Fifth or seventh page in.

See datto for autographs !!

G'day Rory.

Yeah, CAMS Targa Regs state c3 can be 2 inch largeer and 2 inch fatter than standard.

Using the A9X as our 'standard', gives us 16 x 8, due to the lack of choice of 16's in both HQ stud pattern and available r spec rubber, we are on 15 x 8's.

Now a very interesting aside to this, is one officials view point here that a car can be presented as a 'period race replica' and as such, can run with 'period' attachments, providing they were homologated in the period being represented. As such, he is of the opinion that we can run 15 x 10's.

not my opinion mind you, and i am very aware of how interpretation has led many up the wrong path in the past.

Thus, we are sticking with a black and white interpretation of the written rule.

15 x 8.

I would have liked a harder compound rear to start with though.

Welby

Are you still going to enter- that paint looks too good to get all stone chipped.

Keep that as a replica 2 door A9X & build another car ofr teh Targa event (jokes)

Good to see real craftsmen at work.
