Retirement my arse!...You can't keep away !...Ha!
So we finished bolting it all up yesterday and connecting everything.
Couple of points for those that may wish to do this in the future....
The dizzy fouls the throttleshaft on the drivers side rear carby body.
The dizzy won't sit correctly in its recess without LOTS of hand finishing of the intake manifold
With the 4 carbs the plug leads may now be too short and you need to replace some of them
Weber fuel intake barbs are metric threads and do not interchange with any of the usual speed flo type fittings.
The butterflys don't return to the closed stops easily and freely. At this time we figure they are just dry after putting in lots of time on the bench dry fitting and playing with returns springs and all other points of contact. Checking balls for smoothness and lube.
But we are done and they are in, plumbed, fitted and ready for balancing and tuning.
We cranked it over once last night just to see how it all came together.
Very loud, very responsive to the throttle
Lots of smoke from the exhaust, we will now look to see if the manifold is sucking oil???
More work to come.

It was a monster with the single carb, I can only imagine it now with the Webers!

I see you also have fitted alloy heads as well very nice.If it gets dynoed can we please gawk at the printout?
I like the cast alloy rocker covers for looks and they seal very well yet for a track car they are very heavy.Next time you have them off weigh them and i am sure there is a few kg to be saved from changing them.
Looking great!

Too much left hand ballast
that's funny.
The big guys has opted out this year, although he was having a quick blast with me.
My lad is running with me this time, so we will be running a little easier.

Be good to get a few more hours in the car after the time you have spent on it.
