Now that makes sense. You definately got your money's worth. The job has taken 3 weeks and he was only contacted 2 weeks prior to starting the job.

If i can add my 5c worth on the Kmac bar issue from another thread, i'm not impressed with the presentation.
The attachments and bracketry looked good in the dark last night, but the powdercoating and finish on the bars was second rate.
Oh, the car is home. Pics Sunday.

Not a bad choice for a benchmark, good on you.I always had Steve Coads Monaro as the benchmark for car prep. We are also still on target in that regard.
Welby
You're right, considering your options this is the cheapest way out, as well as not having to chop into a classic.
I say...... "WELL DONE !"

Classic Adelaide huh? It usually clashes with another car event I go to, but let me know if you will be looking for local support. If I can't help you out, I can ask my Club members if anyone else can lend a hand.Oh, update on race plans.
Loosely, Targa West September, Targa Tassie Rookie Rally next year, Classic Adelaide next year.
Anything and everything local in between .

Getting a bit ahead of ourselves, we need to get Targa West nailed first, but yes, we want very much to hit Tassie and Classic Adelaide.
I have heard Jimmy Richards is coming to Perth next year with his Rally Sprint, not having it ready in time for this year.
Also on the classic front, Mick Moylan (of Cobra Kit Car fame) has retired the big 427 Galaxie he raced last year to bring back his genuine Group C Falcon Coupe.
So with Mr Bana apparently bringing the shiny red thing over, we should have some really nice coupes to play with.
I wonder if they are sitting at home excited that Welby is bringing a Torana ??

I'm more excited about you bringing it to Tassie than Erin Bana coming does that count???I wonder if they are sitting at home excited that Welby is bringing a Torana ??
Looking forward already to seeing this fine beast in the flesh the gold highlights have me hooked. The closest I have got to seeing any of Targa the last few years is seeing some of them tonking around between stages so now that you are bringing this down I am thinking I better get out there and have a look next year.
How does it work with the rookie section? Will it still be on show at the Silverdome with the others?

We are invited but not compelled to attend all the show n shines.
it's meant to be a taste for those who want to investigate the rally without commiting to 8 days.
Or so i'm told.
How Ross Dunkerton wins 'Rookie' is beyond me. I'm all for the spirit of the event, not the letter of the rulebook.
But good on him, he certainly followed the rules.
Hope to meet you and the other Tassie Forum members next year.

And Welby they give you a discount for doing the Rookie 3 days?..I am interested now.Apparently the story with rookie rally is we only do the first 3 days plus prologue and the night stage.

New windscreen in tomorrow night, just finished repolishing the hatch glass, looks ok too.
Put my thumb through the top of my crash pad, so there goes another good one stuffed.
playing around with seat fittings this week and trial fitting of the pedal box.

Don't know but maybe if you shrink them a bit before posting them might help?having a terrible time uploading pics tonight.
It just keeps looking better and better. I love it when a car is first finished being rejuvenated (or in this case almost finished) and everything looks so new.
I think you have the same mirrors as me?? What are they off there was a fight about what they origionally belong to when I put them on mine.

I would shrink them, but i'm at the outer boundary of computer knowledge now.
Mirrors are the sports mirrors that came with the car, SS style, found also on Gemini's and the odd Sandman.
Glass was installed tonight, not long after these photo's.
Brand new front screen and i cleaned up the rest, factory tinted glass still looks the goods.
