dont wanna do this but its the safest way. i gotta pull the head off the new motor and measure my comp ratio :( that way i know how much boost i can safely run. and since the head will be off i may as well put a set of Head studs with 12 point nuts in. anyone know where to get a set for holden 6?

why.psi,
we are using the ford 7/16 ones but as our head has been machined a fair amount as we have a open chamber head we also have to run some spacers as the studs are a few mm to long .
they are 127mm o/a lenght
and 77mm is the lenght between the to threads (height of head)
hope this helps

Thanks Hayden

measuring the bore should be pretty eazy as they will only be 30 40 or 60 over.?unsure if they made .020 early on.

Cheers Hayden

yeah. ive estimated the comp ratio around 7.25:1 but will check to make sure.

another thing. Copper head gaskets. theyre reusable right? even if they have the groove from the oringed block? just need to re anneal them right?

I believe Hollimer sealant available from Autobarn is what they use for the copper head gaskets, may be wrong though.
