do you need so many gauges, you have 12 counting the factory ones. I like the 4/71, it will look great when finshed. Have you thought about injection instead of a carby. A friends, cousin has a red lj 2dr with a 202 with a 4/71, glide, 9in. It was running 12sec 1/4 with a stock red, 20yrs ago.
heres a anther lc with a 4/71

specs are as far as i know: 202 blue block O ringed, fully balanced rotating assembly, starfire rods, HQ racing pistons, 9 port head, copper head gasket, solid cam. Ran 12.89 @114 in an LJ with a supra 5 speed on street tyres wheelspin 1st and second and a little third. it had a small T3 turbo on it at the time.
i should be able to knock a bit off the time as my cars suspensions set up for drag and i will be running on street slicks. the 3500 stall in the trimatic will also help as will no turbo lag from the 4/71
Thanks Heath, the "torana" sign is made out of 6mm MDF, i drew it up and cut it out with a jigsaw, then used MDF primer to seal it up and then painted with GMH Orange. (same colour as the stripes on my car

If you have no luck with grind numbers and breed, at least you can say you did your best

Have the rockers been loosened off? Why can't you measure your cold lash average, subtract 0.002" and that should give you guide to what they should be set when hot.
You then could futher tune within 0.004" each side for best performance.
